We headed down to Florida for our annual spring training pilgrimage after our stop in Boston for Scott’s wedding. Umm, let’s just say that the planning of this trip was not my finest moment. I definitely have a tendency to be overly ambitious about what we can do as a family of four, and this was the case with this trip. Taking a 2.5 year old and a 3 month old from Austin to Boston to New Hampshire to Boston to Florida and back to Austin in 10 days was a.lot.of.work.
But it was also a blast. We had so much fun – the weather was mostly gorgeous, the kids were so adaptable and so enjoyed the pool and the beach. Domenic was a little fish, he spent so much time in the pool – we couldn’t get him out. Ava was her usual chill self and easily adapted to sleeping in a pack n play in a room with with 3 other people. We went to two sox games, the first on March 9th vs the Orioles and again on the 12th vs the Rays. On the 12th we met up with Uncle Frank, Aunt Caroline, Carrie and Darryl at the game, and then headed out to dinner in Naples. We then went back to Frank and Caroline’s and had a cake to celebrate Caroline’s 71st birthday. We are already looking forward to next year!
